Bio

Aasne Daniels has worked professionally in New York City and Chicago, on stage and as an audiobook voiceover artist.  A certified yoga teacher, Professor Daniels finds the "mind-breath-body" connection in yoga an invaluable tool for actors, and she encourages her students to explore that connection as they prepare roles for ³Õºº¾ãÀÖ²¿ TheatreWorks productions and in the classroom.

Working on the spring '18 musical, The Robber Bridegroom, was a treat. The students and the choreographer and I all collaborated to devise choreography that was inspired by traditional square dance and other folk dances, but with a fresh, spontaneous and completely individualistic quality. It was great to see how each actor would take ownership of the choreography when it was of their own imagining.
